macOS has a lot of great utilities to help you get the most out of your Mac. I’ve reviewed a lot of them in my previous articles, and I’m always on the lookout for new and useful apps. Here are a few more that I think you’ll find helpful.

Numi

Numi is an amazing calculator for macOS that offers a wide range of advanced features and a fantastic way to interact with the calculator. Instead of pressing buttons like a conventional calculator, you simply type in your data and specify the operation you want it to perform. It is an incredibly efficient and user-friendly tool, and it is my go-to calculator app on my Mac.
I love that you can assign the results of your calculations to variables and reference them in later calculations.
Below is a list of some functions that can be done with Numi:
  • unit and timezone conversion
  • sign and word operators
  • supports decimal, binary, octal, hexadecimal, temperature, length, area, volume, currency, percentages, weight
  • math functions (square root, cubed root, ceiling, floor, etc.)

  • Sum and average all lines above until an empty line

Soulver

I am also a frequent user of Soulver. It is a powerful calculator that is similar to Numi in the way it is interacted with. Instead of pressing numbers on buttons, you input your information and calculations like a spreadsheet.

PopClip is a powerful tool that allows you to quickly and easily perform actions on text in macOS. When you select the text, PopClip displays a menu of suggested actions. You can then select an action to perform on the text.

  • Format text (bold, italic, underline, etc.)

Start

One of the best things about Dato is its simplicity. It’s easy to get started and use, even if you’re not a tech-savvy person. Dato also has a clean and modern interface that’s easy on the eyes.
Dato is packed with features, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The app is well-organized and easy to navigate. You can easily add events to your calendar, join meetings, and check the time in different time zones. Dato also has a handy time calculator that can help you calculate time intervals in seconds.
One of my favorite features of Dato is its full-screen alerts. When you have an event coming up, Dato will display a full-screen alert that helps you really tune in and be on time. This is a great way to avoid missing important meetings or appointments.
I like that Dato can be customized to show multiple time zones. This is helpful if you work with people in different parts of the world.

Copy ’Em Paste

Copy ’Em is a clipboard manager that allows you to store an unlimited number of items, unlike regular clipboards that can only store one item at a time. You can copy text, images, links, and other items to your clipboard and then paste them later, even if you close your computer.
Copy ’Em also has a number of other features, including:
  • The ability to record screenshots directly into the app
  • plain-text mode that strips the formats of all subsequently pasted text items. Or transform your text in different ways, like changing the case, or removing whitespace.
  • Convert images to different image formats.
  • The ability to mark items as favorites

TripMode
